LITTLE SCIENTIST

The 2nd Learning/Teaching/Training Activities Meeting within the Erasmus + Project, 'Little Scientist' took place in Lodz, Poland in June 2016. The topic of the meeting was WATER.

We started the day excited because there was a great agenda. We travelled to Madrid by train to visit CSIC (Spanish National Research Council). The State Agency for Scientific Research (CSIC) is the largest public institution dedicated to research in Spain and the third in Europe. Under the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, through the State Secretariat for Research, Development and Innovation, its main objective is to develop and promote research for the benefit of scientific and technological progress, for which it is open to collaboration with Spanish and Foreign. After the visit, we have had some free time in Madrid. Madrid is always a interesting city to visit. The students are happy to have free time there. In the afternoon we had the closing ceremony.  After several days sharing our time and work with colleagues from different schools, this moment was very exciting. We got pretty, and we prepared to have a great time. Many applause, laughter and complicit looks...

The fourth day we visited a scientific research center. We traveled to Madrid and visited the Faculty of Optics and Optometry of the Complutense University . The University, in collaboration with the Erasmus professors, had prepared research experiences in physical optics laboratories and optometry clinic. Thanks to Practical Experience IV our students were concern about this kind of work. Observing the importance of light for work in so many scientific fields, gave us a very interesting perspective.            Finally we visit Madrid.   

Ready for the third Day!!! We started the day working in the school labs. We have worked on   Practical Experience III  . We have built an spectroscopy!!! We have been working in groups, and the experience has been great. After a break we started activities with nursery and infant school children.  This time the students of the project have become teachers and have worked with smaller partners. In the afternoon we use our computer skills for video editing. By groups, we created several videos linking the photos we had so far, and then we created a complete video with all the parts. Here you can see the result. Also we played a variety of games, including playing cards and board games.

We have our winner!!  After analysing all the posibilities we have decided to use this logo for our project!
